Officials are eyeing North Korea as the culprit as a Cyber Attack Against U.S. and South Korean Computer Systems Is Launched over The Holiday Weekend
John Barnhart of American Daily Review told me the other day that since Independence Day he, and a number of other people, had been having problems with Internet access. It may be a coincidence, but the government has been having the same problem.
The widespread cyber attack that overwhelmed South Korean and American government websites has been possibly traced back to North Korea. The attack, which appeared around Independence Day, targeted government and private sites, and revealed how ill equipped the U.S. Government truly is for this kind of attack.
In an age where the missile launches of North Korea, and Iran's push for nuclear weapons, grace the headlines of newspapers and news sites, Cyber Attacks are often overlooked. The danger is very real, and the U.S. Government has now received a reminder about how important it is to prepare for other such attacks in the future.
