In the final wrap up of the Blogger Shootout at Troopathon 2009, it turns out the team I joined, headed by Ed Morrissey, pulled off the win. I had a blast participating, and enjoyed the webcast of the drive to raise money for care packages to be sent out to our troops. From the "Blogger Shootout," specifically, Move America Forward raised over $55,000 for care packages. Overall, the troopathon raised almost $700,000 for our troops.
The need to give, however, is not over. The care packages should be continuously sent to our troops as long as they remain overseas. And you can still participate. Move America Forward has updated the banners and invites you to post one on your blog to encourage your readers to remember our troops! The banners can be found HERE.
