7 Missiles Lauched by North Korea to show the South Koreans and American Navy not to get too close to North Korea's eastern shore
Many see it as no coincidence the missiles were launched on Independence Day. This is not the first time Kim Jong Il has used American holidays to show his military might. A nuclear test was conducted on Memorial Day, and July 4, 2006 North Korea launched seven missiles then, as well.
Hawaii is approximately 1,400 miles away from North Korea, and these ballistic missiles did not have the capability to reach America's 50th state. The U.S. Navy in Hawaii, however, is paying close attention, and is not taking this test firing lightly.
The missile launches are in defiance of U.N. resolutions, and is drawing global condemnation, and concern.
All seven missiles landed in the Sea of Japan between the Korea Peninsula and Japan.
The Obama Administration has chosen to be silent about the launches, as to not draw attention to North Korea's actions and possibly provoke them - once again showing a sign of weakness. The American President will be viewed as fearful, and unwilling to make waves - an attribute that encourages evil to rachet it up a notch.
Apparently, North Korea has no problem provoking its enemies.
