In the face of danger from a foreign foe, our servicemen and women put their lives on the line every day. Regardless of one's opinion of whether or not the military should, or should not, be in a particular region, these brave men and women are doing what they were trained to do - and are doing their duty with honor and pride.
All of our fine warriors deserve words of "Thank you," and encouragement, from each of us. Each one of them are in my heart, and in my prayers. You, Sirs and Ma'ams, have my utmost appreciation. As a former military man, I understand. As an American, I am humbled by your service.
Aaron was one of two soldiers killed in Afghanistan on Independence Day by a suicide bomber. The picture above is the "tweet" from his heart-broken dad to let folks know the tragic news.
The New York Times is reporting that the attack was in the Paktika Province, near the Pakistan border.
The Masters Family has our prayers, and condolences.
