The Truth Behind Sarah Palin on Political Pistachio Radio

In July of 2007, Douglas V. Gibbs of Political Pistachio announced the Republican Vice Presidential Candidate, if whoever won the GOP presidential nomination wished to choose the best available candidate, would be Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin. From that point on we followed her career in Alaska, secretly hoping she would be picked, but doubting the wisdom of the Republican Party to be willing to do so.

John McCain shocked conservatives when he chose his running mate. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin ignited the Republican Party when John McCain announced her as his running mate in 2008. The liberal left scrambled for dirt, making things up as they went along. The media demonized her as best they could, despite the fact their arguments were out and out lies.

Then, the Katie Couric interview of Palin, catching Sarah seemingly unprepared, was the ace in the hole the Democrats had been hoping for - and the popularity of Sarah Palin among more moderate Republicans began to wane, though she remained very popular among the Conservative Base of the GOP.

After the election the critiques and attacks by the Left continued, in an attempt to continue to affect public perception of Palin, possibly to discourage her from remaining involved in national politics. Even recently a comment by David Letterman about Palin's daughter's became headline news.

Then, unexpectedly, Sarah Palin decided to resign from the governorship of Alaska.
