Once upon a time, when there were fifty-seven states, an audacious man ran a Kool-Aid stand. Many who thirsted for “hope” and “change” came to drink a cool, refreshing cup of “this is our moment, this is our time.”
Word of this magical elixir spread throughout the land. One day, some men stopped by the Kool-Aid stand and convinced him that the masses should partake of the nectar of the gods. So it was decided that the man and his Kool-Aid stand should go into the land and quench the thirst of the gullible and the entitled. And it was good.
The young Kool-Aid salesman spoke of free gas, free health care and forgiven mortgages. Like the Pied Piper of Hamelin, the man formed a mighty following of the great unwashed, intellectual elitists, union thugs and socialists. And it was good.
