H.R. 2159: Democrat Gun Grab

When the Department of Homeland Security, under the guiding eyes of Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and gang, determined in a report that people with conservative beliefs are potential Domestic Terrorists, it was alarming.

When in May I came across H.R. 2159: Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009, I was alarmed. Not because I don't want terrorists to be denied firearms and explosives, but because by using the Department of Homeland Security report, the government could effectively remove all firearms from the majority of Americans with a simple accusation.

The sinister bill has been slowly working its way through Congress, having the last activity on June 12 when it was referred to a House Committee.

A similar bill was introduced in the Senate in 2007, but never made it out of committee.

After the DHS Report, another document, the "Domestic Extremism Lexicon" surfaced. It adds more suspected domestic terrorists to the government's list of enemies, including people working in the alternative media, pro-life activists, "decentralized" terrorists, and others.

Hmmm, that sounds a lot like me.

Distributed to federal, state, local, and tribal counter terrorism and law enforcement officials, these reports are supposed to help deter, prevent, preempt, or respond to terrorist attacks against the United States.

Or, they can help facilitate the rounding up of political dissidents.

One example of over-zealous Obama-lovers acting against anyone daring to seem like they may be "anti-government" was when a man was stopped and detained in Louisiana for displaying a "Don’t tread one me" bumper sticker on his car. A background check found the man not to be a member of an "extremist" group, but the very fact that he was pulled over in the first place is despicable.

"Don’t tread on me" has its roots in the American Revolution where it was originally displayed on a flag designed by general and statesman Christopher Gadsden during the Revolutionary War. The leftists in power, however, see it as a terrorist symbol in their Department of Homeland Security "Rightwing Extremist" report. "Don't Tread On Me" is an announcement of liberty, and the rejection of a controlling government - and the Democrats can't have that kind of dissent.

How many conservatives are on Obama's "watch lists" designated as domestic terrorists? If H.R. 159 becomes law, will the Obama administration and the Justice Department go after opponents to their policies, and disarm them in the process? Will they use H.R. 2159 to disarm law-abiding citizens for daring to stand up and speak out against the Left's fascist aims?

Will the U.S. Constitution be deemed a document that foments domestic terrorism, and be outlawed too?

The death of America by the hands of the leftist Democrats will be avoided if we continue to remain strong, and continue to pressure government into abandoning their aim for a strong, central, socialistic government through rallies, letters, phone calls, and all other means of getting our message out to them, and our fellow Americans.
