Are Christians Haters?

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Whenever a Christian dares to speak out against something they believe to be immoral, or outside God-given standards, the word "hate" is attached as a label by leftists. Those same liberals run around mocking various people of faith on their blogs, or verbally out in public. A single statement by a Christian that is unacceptable to the left's selfish narcissism is like a trail of blood to a hungry pack of hyenas, and as a result the leftists go on the prowl, baying wildly at the moon.

The funniest part of it is that these people can't even think for themselves. They are more like echo chambers of Keith Olbermann or Chris Matthews.

Of course if Christians recognize such attacks, and say something about it, then they are accused of making more of it than need be, and are mocked as playing the victim card.

You know the old saying: "Damned if you do, damned if you don't." Either way, leftists foam at the mouth as they rant and rave about those "hateful" Christians.

The response is normally that Christians hate the sin, but not the sinner.

Leftists cannot compute such statements, and in their ignorance attack that too. That's all they know how to do. All they understand is attack, attack, and attack.

The answer to the title of this post is that Christians, true Christians that follow the teachings of the Bible (not fakes like Westboro's Phelps), are not haters. However, when we see wickedness, we will call it out.

I suppose, however, the best way to explain myself is with a Bible verse from the book of Ezekiel:

Ezekiel 33:11 - Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord GOD, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways. . .

God Bless
