Have we gone completely insane? When I came across the Fox News article that proclaimed the alleged mastermind of the murder of four Blackwater USA men in Fallujah five years ago had been captured, but now the SEALs who captured him face criminal charges for the capture, I about fell over.
We are at war, yet we do not allow our men to fight it.
The captured terrorist, Ahmed Hashim Abed, told investigators he was punched by his captors, and suffered a bloody lip as a result.
He's lucky that's all he got.
The SEALs, all three of them, refused non-judicial punishment, and have asked that the matter go to trial by court-martial.
Rather than being called heroes for capturing the piece of crap, they are considered criminals because the poor-little-mass-murderer got a bloody lip.
For those of you that have never been involved with capturing, and detaining, a suspect, things happen - especially when the dirtbag puts up a fight. Sometimes it takes aggressive action to take control of the situation. Sometimes lips get bloodied.
The worst part of this is the message this sends to the enemy. "Complain about your captors, and they are more screwed than you."
And hey, thanks to the piece of garbage in the White House, Obama, these piece of crap terrorists now know they can get off scot-free because all they have to do is call for a civilian federal trial, like Khalid Sheikh Muhammed is getting, and then find a way to get the case dismissed for not being read their Miranda Rights, or something like that.
The Islamic Jihadist is the enemy, and should have been killed on the battlefield. In the case his life is spared, as in the case of Abed, he relinquished any rights when he became a part of murdering Americans, and he is lucky the U.S. Military got a hold of him, and not a rival Muslim faction.
And do you think the Islamists would be concerned if one of their American, or Israeli, prisoners got a bloody lip?
Frickin' unbelievable.
