"I tell you what, if I lived in Massachusetts I'd try to vote 10 times. I don't know if they'd let me or not, but I'd try to. Yeah, that's right. I'd cheat to keep these bastards out. I would. 'Cause that's exactly what they are." - MSNBC's Ed Schultz
By Douglas V. Gibbs
The Left does not care what your opinion is, what your value system is, what your religious views are, or what the damage caused by their tyrannical agenda will bring upon your freedoms.
They tell you such every opportunity they get. In reference to the possibility of Martha Coakley losing to Conservative Republican Scott Brown in the Blue State of Massachusetts' special election coming up on Tuesday, the Democrats are running scared. Their candidate is openly proclaiming her leftism, rather than hiding it with deception like Democrats normally do. In fact, she is such a buffoon, she can't even spell Massachusetts correctly!
The Democrats are so entrenched in Massachusetts, they figured it was a shoe-in to fill Ted Kennedy's old seat with a leftist. Any dope could win. No worries.
Scott Brown is leading in the polls, and it looks to be very possible that he will win "the people's seat" in Massachusetts, and break the Democrat's super-majority in the U.S. Senate.
First the conservative Republicans took the governorships of Virginia and New Jersey a couple months ago, and now this. Yet, the liberals remain in denial. Their arrogance has them spewing vomit about how the conservative movement is dead, candidates like Palin or Scott Brown secures wins for them, and that there is no way in Hell that the Republicans will take back the House of Representatives, or The Senate, in November, especially if they run on conservatism.
Progressivism is inevitable, according to these sheep. Leftism is the next evolutionary step, these mindless automatons believe. Besides, the Left reasons, who cares what the American People think. Like it or not, America is heading into the direction of becoming a socialist nation with abortion and gay marriage and government mandates over the lives of Americans in every crook and corner - regardless of what Americans say, or the U.S. Constitution proclaims.
The Mayor of San Francisco was a fierce opponent to Proposition 8 that was designed to define marriage in California as being between and man and a woman with a state constitutional amendment. While speaking out against the proponents of the proposition, Gavin Newsom verbalized the now infamous declaration: "As California goes, so goes the nation. It’s inevitable. The door's wide open now. It's going to happen, whether you like it or not. This is the future, and it's now."
"Like it or not." That is their attitude. Right now a legal case regarding Proposition 8 is in federal court, even though the definition of marriage is a state issue regarding the state constitution, and the California State Supreme Court has already declared the amendment constitutional! And as Ed Schultz said, the left is even willing to cheat to force their agenda on you, be it through pushing their agenda into the federal courts unconstitutionally, or lying and cheating as Ed Schultz suggested. After all, they believe your freedoms mean nothing. Either you agree with them, or they will change the definitions of actual language to force you into it.
A pro-life nurse in New York at the Mr. Sinai Hospital in New York was forced to assist in a late second-trimester abortion. The hospital was aware of her objections and essentially told her she would be fired otherwise, charged with "insubordination and patient abandonment", leading to a possible loss of her job and her license as a nurse. The Nurse's attorney, in regard to what happened, said: "We're seeing more and more cases where pro-life health workers are facing requirements to assist in abortions against their rights of conscience."
The federal government, with the Democrats at the helm, is trying to advance the murder of children to the next level, desiring to have the tax dollars by folks who are pro-life to pay for abortions. The abortion provision in the health care bill being pushed by the radical leftist Democrats is part of the reason the Democrats resorted to bribing Ben Nelson for his vote.
In Massachusetts one of the issues that have risen is the "Conscience Clause" which would exempt people in the medical industry from participating in any action associated with the genocide of the unborn, including the abortion pill. Democrats, of course, have decided that since they know better than you, you should be forced to participate, and if you don't like it, get out of medicine.
The attitude of the Democrats regarding objection to abortion, or religious beliefs that prevent health care workers from participating in any procedure that involves the snuffing of a life, was best portrayed by Martha Coakley, recently, in a radio interview with Ken Pittman. When asked about the "Conscience Clause," she had the following thing to say about religious freedoms:
Ken Pittman: Right, if you are a Catholic, and believe what the Pope teaches that any form of birth control is a sin. ah you don’t want to do that.
Martha Coakley: No we have a separation of church and state Ken, lets be clear.
Ken Pittman: In the emergency room you still have your religious freedom.
Martha Coakley: (……uh, eh…um..) The law says that people are allowed to have that. You can have religious freedom but you probably shouldn’t work in the emergency room.
Either you agree with their agenda, and let go of your religious beliefs, or you shouldn't be in the health care industry? Are you kidding me?
Martha Coakley's campaign is self-destructing, anyway. She held her fund-raiser in Washington DC, in a bar, with health insurance lobbyists. And, with her hit ads that are only designed to smear Scott Brown, rather than discuss the issues, she is now facing two lawsuits.
Karma? What goes around comes around? You reap what you sow?
Pretty amazing, isn't it? The leftist self-destruction of the radical Marxist wing of the Democrat Party is in high gear in the bluest of states, Massachusetts, where Scott Brown has an excellent opportunity of putting a conservative Republican in a Senate seat that has been held by a Kennedy nearly as long as history can remember.
MeMe Roth has decided that the government should even take control of raising children, stripping parents of their rights because "someone has to protect the children." Protect the children from who? Their parents? And her decision is based on the fact that there is some parents who have irresponsibly allowed their children to gain too much weight. MeMe's opinion? Child obesity is child abuse.
According to who? Frail little MeMe?
Suddenly in this world of tolerance someone like MeMe is being coddled by the left for attacking folks of size? Is it remotely possible that many of those folks don't suffer from obesity, but rather enjoy every minute of it? Who is MeMe to expect the government to dictate to people what they can and can't do, all the way down to eating?
MeMe sounds a lot like a friend of mine who is knee-deep in psychology insanity. Some of psychology is simply common sense, and some of it is a maniacal strong arm of the liberal agenda. In the conversation I recently had with the psychologist friend of mine over child development, we actually argued because she believes children should be taken away from parents if they spank their children, "force" their children to go to something as archaic and narrow-minded as church, and any parent unwilling to allow their children the social experience of public school by home schooling their children, or forcing their kids into a private school.
And get this. When I verbalized my opposition she says, "Did you ever finish getting your collegiate degree? No? Then you have no right to have an opinion in this matter. Get educated, then come talk to me about this."
I suppose if I got that degree from Hillsdale College or California Baptist University it probably wouldn't count to her. Either get indoctrinated in leftist universities, or shut your mouth!
My friend, or MeMe Roth, are not the first to spew Marxist drivel over the raising of children. After all, didn't Hillary Clinton say that parents can't be trusted, and that it takes a village to raise a child?
All of this insanity finds its roots in big government collectivist thinking. The proponents of big government claim that their aim is nothing but good intentions. The leftists claim they only wish to rid the world of what ails it (if you listen to the Global Warming Hysteria nuts that means we need to rid the world of humanity). But what they believe ails the world is freedom, liberty, and individualism. You are too stupid to run your life, so they believe government must do it for you. You are screwing up your kids, so they want to dictate to you how to raise them. You have a small narrow mind, according to the Left, so they will think for you, redefining language, marriage, morality, and in the end, all of society. They will force you to let go of your religious beliefs, and replace God with government.
I suppose when it comes down to brass tacks, the liberal left agrees with Bill Clinton when he said, "It depends on what the meaning of the word is is."
The Left's definition of "is" results ultimately in tyranny. Their agenda ends in a loss of choice, and an increase in government dictating to you what you can do, what you can eat, and whether or not you will get medical treatment.
Rationing, government mandates, and punitive taxation.
Like it or not.
And the liberal leftists are even willing to cheat to force it on you because, as Schultz said, those of you who desire self-reliant individual liberty are a bunch of bastards, and the elitist leftists will do anything to keep you out.
Ultimately, the Democrats desire two classes of citizens: Those who agree with them (those people will receive exemptions like the labor unions will with the tax proposal on high-end health care plans), and those who don't agree with them (you know, those crazy right-wing extremists who must be silenced by an all-powerful government).
