Few persons, even the brightest of thinkers, have truly understood the depths of the twisted mind of liberalism. The members of the political left have been convinced by themselves, and their colleagues, that theirs is a thrilling credence in their perceived truth, a seemingly marvelous intellect that is unmatched outside of their circle. The anticipations of utopia, where the controlling system provides for all, and none are without the basic needs of life, fills their liberal proposals with hope, and the promise of a changed society that would be admired by all that can see forward through the lens of the future, should their policies ever reach fruition.
Through the confidence of the liberal agenda, the liberals find a general smugness to their intellectualism, placing their intellect on a higher plateau than the seemingly narrow minds of the conservatives. To them, their positions are self-evidently correct, and the liberals find no need to consider the illegitimate offerings of their opposition.
The people, the small-minded voter that cannot even raise their children properly, as far as the liberal is concerned, is of little consequence to the liberal politicians in their quest to create a utopian society that will cater to the citizens every little need. The questions of the people must not be answered, for they would not understand the complex answers that would await them should a liberal lower themselves enough to respond to such a query. The anticipations of the liberal politicians are enough to fuel their benign attempt, or at least benign by their horrific standards, to present the public with the gift of government offerings. It is of no consequence that the liberal proposals have failed all times passed in other great societies, but to alleviate the fears of the citizens, they require their agenda to remain in stealth mode until such time that no vote by the people can turn the direction of the policies around.
The strategy is to make America a socialist paradise before the American public realizes what happened. The politicians must promise what the citizens desire, and then deliver something different. Those in power must never appear to be socialist, and must deny it to one's dying breath, if necessary, even though the platforms supported are indeed socialist in nature. And above all, the socialism must not be delivered in such a quantity that the people discover the nature of the game, otherwise, they may revolt, and remove those in power from office.
Upon the first discovery that socialism has been put into place, reasons the liberal, the populace will seem upset, but will soon learn that it is for their own good. A gift to the people, the liberal proclaims, as he gathers his gold, and prepares the plans for the elimination of the groups that once supported the liberals, and are no longer needed.
