Senator Reid and the Filibuster

Suddenly, Reid doesn't like the Filibuster, and now wants to abolish a long used tactic.

A Filibuster is a key tool for the minority party to delay or stop proposals by keeping the Senate debating an issue. The 60-vote rule is in regards to stopping debate - and if the 60 votes can never be reached, then the legislation never gets out of the Senate.

Amazing, when the Democrats were the minority and using the filibuster, they didn't seem to be complaining then.
