Switzerland has the lowest crime rate in Europe, and they require their citizens to own a gun. When everyone is armed, criminals remain at bay.
Cities with higher rates of gun ownership here in the United States have lower crime rates, and cities with bans or heavy restrictions (like Washington DC and Chicago) suffer from higher crime rates.
Countries with extremely strict gun control laws suffer from higher violent crime percentages.
Now, even MSNBC admits that guns don't kill people, people kill people. When the law abiding citizen is armed, crime goes down.
I am still surprised at how many ignorant people there are out there that believe that taking guns away from law abiding citizens (or heavily restricting such fire arms) is a good thing.
Give me an AK, and I guarantee nobody is ripping my place off.
