Murrieta City Council Candidates at Press Enterprise 2010 Road Trip Forum

I will be participating today in the PE.com Election 2010 Road Trip

The Press-Enterprise and PE.com want to help you stay connected to your community. We're going on the road to host 25 political forums in Riverside County on the local races that matter most to you - city council and school districts. Each forum will be webcast live on PE.com and recorded in its entirety and made available on PE.com. The general public is invited to attend, and there is no charge to attend, but seating may be limited.

About the candidate forums

Forums will be one hour in length. A moderator and timekeeper will be on hand for each forum.

Audience members can submit questions, but there is no guarantee that questions will be selected for use during the forum. Questions also can be submitted via PE.com, Twitter and Facebook.

The forum will be run by a moderator selected by The Press-Enterprise Co., who will introduce topics, ask questions and monitor times.

Candidates will be seated in random order.

Candidates will have 2 minutes to make an opening statement.

Each candidate will have the chance to answer every question (from the moderator, audience, PE.com, twitter or facebook). Candidates will have 1 minute to respond to the question.

There will be a 15-minute live soapbox for audience members to give their opinions about the forum they’ve watched. Each audience member will have 1 minute to give her or his opinion.

The forums are being produced independently of The Press-Enterprise Editorial Board and its process for determining which candidates it will endorse.

Audience rules
