In Saint Paul, Minnesota, twenty-nine people were arrested for their association with a sex trafficking ring. The victims of the ring were often underage, and transported across state lines to have sex in exchange for small amounts of marijuana and liquor. The suspects allegedly made videos of the sex acts as well, sending them for viewing on cell phones.
The arrests were the result of a tip that originally led investigators to Tennessee where a victim, who was a runaway from Minnesota, was located. She was one of four underage girls being transported across state lines for prostitution.
Though the story did not say, considering the suspects were Somali, it is reasonable to assume they were Muslim.
