Christmas Pistachios roasting on an open fire,
Liberal Democrats nipping at your pocketbook,
Songs of Freedom being sung much higher,
And folks voting out the crooks.
Everybody knows the turkey and Congressional slump,
We hope to make the next year right.
Posterity needing us to get past this bump,
Finding it hard to sleep tonight.
They know that the GOP's on its way;
Their control of the House is only moments away.
Otherwise every American's child is going to pay,
And they'll watch tyranny take freedom away.
And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
To Americans in the next coming year,
Let's keep working to stop the liberal ways,
And Merry Christmas to all who are here.
Merry Christmas to the patriots that read Political Pistachio.
