Ecclesiastes 10:2 - What the Bible Says About The Right, and the Left

A friend of mine reminded me of this Bible verse that makes you think about the political right vs. the political left:

Ecclesiastes 10:2 (King James Version)

2.A wise man's heart is at his right hand; but a fool's heart at his left.

My buddy Loki says there is no such thing as a coincidence.

Doug, there's also Matthew 6:3.

But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing

Could it be that the right hand is doing the giving?

In that case, try Deuteronomy 15:10 "Give liberally, and be ungrudging when you do so..." or even better, Proverbs 4:27 "Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil."

I agree, we should give liberally, and be ungrudging when we do so - but not through government, but by our own voluntary decision. As for the verse in Proverbs, currently, the evil seems to primarily congregate on the left, which is why I turn my foot away from the left.
