Constitutional Speaker on KCAA Sun, Oct 16, 2011

The producer of Atlas Shrugged Part I joined Constitution Speaker Radio with Douglas V. Gibbs on Sunday to discuss the release of the DVD on November 8, 2011, as well as how being the producer for this great film affected him. One of the highest grossing independent films of the year, the movie is a film adaption of Ayn Rand's classic novel, "Atlas Shrugged." The book is divided into parts, so next year part two of Atlas Shrugged is expected to be in theaters just in time for the election.

The movie is set in the near future, where a liberal system of governance has brought the economy to the edge of collapse, and the achievers throw their hands up and decide to go on strike.

The only question you need to be asking as you sit down to watch this great film is, "Who is John Galt?"

Of course we also went through the 5 Big Stories of the Week, and this week's Nuts and Nuggets.

5 big stories of the weekend, October 16, 2011

3. Occupy Now Protests a Global Marxist Revolution?

1. Iran and the Plot to Assassinate Saudi Diplomat on American Soil

Nuts and Nuggets:

Nut: Illinois Representative Jesse Jackson, Jr. in a Wednesday interview with the Daily Caller called for the president to bypass the Constitution to deal with the jobs crisis, saying that President Obama should “declare a national emergency” and use “extra-constitutional” measures to create jobs.

Nugget: I like Herman Cain, and I want to like his 999 plan, but the National Sales Tax part of it does not sit well with me. The best quote about his plan came from Michelle Bachmann in the Bloomberg/Washington Post Debate earlier this week: “When you take the 999 Plan and you turn in upside down I think the Devil’s in the Details”
