The Left has claimed that since Ginni Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, is a Tea Party type, and was involved with Citizens United in the financial sense, and so forth, that it was a conflict of Clarence Thomas to rule on the Citizens United case. Besides, it is not like Clarence Thomas made some bizarre turn to accommodate his wife. He ruled on Citizens United exactly as expected. His attention to the law, and the Constitution, is consistent. But you know how the liberal democrats are. They don't care if the charge is true or not. The simple power of accusation by them, they believe, is enough to stop their opposition cold. And sometimes, it is. The democrats lose on a level playing field, so they skew the rules as much as they can. That is what evil does.
Note, Ginni Thomas is not on the Supreme Court, so it was not a conflict of interest. . . But Elena Kagan is, making her involvement with the Obamacare case a major conflict of interest.
Kagan was the solicitor general of the United States, which means that she was the government's lawyer at the Supreme Court, when it came to helping to develop the legal position for Obamacare. She structured the legal position for Obamacare.
Now, as a Supreme Court Justice, Elena Kagan will have the opportunity to save Obamacare. . . which is exactly why she is on the high court, and that is precisely where the true conflict lies.
The democrats don't care if there is a conflict of interest because they are banking on the Republicans being "gentlemanly" about it and not stirring the pot. The Republicans, the establishment Republicans anyway, want to be regarded as reasonable, and non-confrontational, so the wimps say nothing, do nothing, and the democrats take advantage of it every time.
Elena Kagan was nominated, and confirmed, even though she had no business being on the Supreme Court in the first place. But the party hacks of the GOP didn't want to make waves, or be seen as obstructionists, so they let the Marxist lesbian Obama-ite on the court.
Obama chose Kagan for a reason. He wanted her on the court because she has a direct involvement with Obamacare, and therefore would be a solid vote for stepping stone towards fully nationalized health care in America, regardless of the law, or the Constitution. The problem is, there is a severe conflict of interest.
That is their game, but it is getting ready to blow up in the faces of the democrats, even though they are doing all they can to cover up the Kagan conflict scandal.
