Today's Constitution Speaker radio program on KCAA 1050 AM began with a discussion about. . . Lemonade Stands, Football, and State Sovereignty.
You need to listen for it to make sense.
Then, we launched into the 5 Big Stories of the Week. . .
and the Nuts and Nuggets. . .
Nuts and Nuggets - Newt Gingrich gets both the Nut and Nugget in the same sitting. . .
Nugget: Fox News: "That ad with Pelosi was a striking ad for a lot of Republicans around the country. Is the earth warming? If so, why is it warming? And what is that urgent action we need to take?" And here's what Newt had to say.
GINGRICH: First of all, it's probably the dumbest single thing I've done in recent years. (Krauthammer laughs) It is inexplicable. As somebody used say, you know, there aren't enough hay wagons to stand on to get people to understand that one. So you just need to kind of relax and go, "That was dumb."
KRAUTHAMMER: Were you being held hostage for that?
Nut: GINGRICH: No, it was just dumb. I was trying to do something I failed to do. I do think it's important for conservatives to be in the middle of the debate over the environment. I actually don't know whether global warming is occurring. The vast majority of the National Academy of Science says it is; a minority says it is not. Science is not actually voted on; science is a function of truth.
GINGRICH: What I do know is that -- that if you look at exactly what's said in that ad, finding innovative new ways of getting cleaner energy ought to be something most Americans feel pretty comfortable with.
Newt said too much. Man-made global warming is a hoax being pushed for political reasons. Even NASA has tweaked the so-called evidence, and now are trying to explain why cooling is beginning to take place. The global warming hysteria-mongers are trying to come up with all kinds of lies and escapes to explain why there isn't any warming. They aren’t willing to admit it’s a naturally occurring cyclictic phenomenon. The Earth, and the Sun, are what causes warming and cooling. We couldn’t heat up the planet the way these crackpots claim if we tried. And no, despite all of their models and predictions, it is now getting colder.
By Newt claiming we have got to be in the middle of the debate over the environment is saying that we have to somehow adopt some of the lies. That’s ridiculous. The environmental debate is nothing more than a left-wing political weapon aimed at growing government, limiting freedom, raising taxes by blaming people for causing climate destruction, and giving people something to believe in like saving the planet - and then they can thank the democrats for making them feel good about themselves because now their life has meaning because they are a part of something.
But, they are a part of a lie.
Newt is catching fire, but if he wants to have a chance, he better rethink his environmental tactics. If the water and air is dirty, sure, let’s clean it. But let’s not go chasing after some environmental cult created by a bunch of statists for the sake of power.
