The TEA Party rallies were something to behold. Americans, joined together to celebrate freedom, patriotism, and the Constitution, sang and prayed together. They shared ideas, knowledge, and their desire for the destructive policies of Obama to stop. Through the movement the GOP was turned into a new direction, and the republicans won an incredible landslide election in 2010.
The Occupy Wall Street movement is nothing of the sort. Theirs has become a movement of violence, and a parade of extremist affiliations that is hardly representative of the 99 percent of Americans the movement claims to stand for.
In Oakland clashes with police have become old news, and last Friday night in Washington, D.C., the Occupy protests turned violent when activists marched on the city's convention center in opposition to an annual summit held by the conservative Americans for Prosperity Foundation.
Attempting to conceal their identities, the Occupy protesters hid their faces behind masks and bandanas, and began pounding on the glass walls and doors of the building, demanding entrance. They then worked on finding a way to force their way in. A clash ensued, as the protesters tried to force their way through a line of police and security guards manning the locked doors at the Mount Vernon Street entrance.
A 78-year-old woman not associated with the protesters was knocked down some stairs, protesters were injured by a car when they were intentionally obstructing traffic, and some protesters used their children as shields.
D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said of the violence, "That is no longer a peaceful protest" and that the protesters have become "increasingly confrontational and violent toward uninvolved bystanders and motorists."
In New York, because of the problem with rapes, women set up a "safety tent" for women only. Another protester turned violent when a McDonald's refused to give him free food.
These people have defaced the American flag, have created health hazards in their camps, and have exposed themselves to be the free-loading creeps that they are.
And the democrat party embraces this kind of madness.
The liberals are hoping for violence. They are searching for yet another excuse to demonize America.
And the violence has only just begun.
