Iran Is Eyeing Domination

By Douglas V. Gibbs

President Ahmadinejad believes that it is only a matter of time when it will be Iran's duty to create chaos in the world, and to free the 12th Imam from the cave he slumbers in.  As far as the Iranian leadership is concerned, they have nothing to lose. The sacrifice of the lives of Muslims is but a small price to pay for a worldwide caliphate they believe to be on the verge of welcoming onto this planet.  A new Ottoman Empire, but this time with Iran at its head, and a global influence like the world has never seen.

A part of the journey to world domination for the Islamic crazies in Iran runs through the United States of America.  The United States must be crippled, and be unable to come to Israel's aid, or to interfere with the establishment of a worldwide Muslim theocracy.

To enable their goals, Iran has designed and developed an ICBM prototype.  According to Israeli intelligence, the Iranian Defense Ministry plans to launch the prototype in 2012. The missile is designed to be able to reach as far as 10,000 kilometers. The goal, according to Israeli sources, is to be able to strike the United States.

This is not the first attempt. Iran believed they were ready with a missile that could reach the United States in November of 2011, but the missile exploded during a test, killing the developer of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Major General Hassan Moghaddam, and setting the program back a couple years.  The Iranians blamed the mishap on Western sabotage.

The United States has known about Iran's plans, but officials have placed the development of such a capability at 2015, at the earliest.  Either, the United States has underestimated Iran, or Israeli intelligence is wrong. It is likely the former is true.

As Iran works to develop weapons that can strike the United States, Israel, and Europe, attacks against Israeli diplomats have been occurring worldwide.  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blames Iran for the attempts, the latest being in New Delhi and Tbilisi, Georgia.

Both were blasts attached to vehicles affiliated with Israeli embassies.  The attack in India injured the wife of an Israeli diplomat in New Delhi and her driver, after the explosive device was slapped on their car by a passing motorcyclist. The other was a grenade-type device duct-taped to the bottom of the care, but it was defused without anyone being injured.

Iran, though they have not taken responsibility, recently vowed revenge for recent assassinations of scientists involved in its nuclear program. Iranian officials state that Israel conducted the attacks themselves, in an attempt to “tarnish Iran’s friendly ties with the host countries” and to wage “psychological warfare against Iran.”  Iran's media claims they are victims of Israeli terrorism against the Islamic nation.

“In all these cases, the elements behind the attacks were Iran and its proxy, Hezbollah,” Israeli President Netanyahu said. “We will continue to act with a strong hand, systematically and patiently, against international terrorism, whose source is Iran.”

American officials have denounced the attacks, and in January, U.S. Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr. said a thwarted plot to kill the Saudi ambassador to the United States last year — a plot that allegedly originated in Tehran — showed an increasing willingness by Iran to launch attacks on U.S. soil.
