The Obama administration did not cause the gun to go off, or for the violence we are seeing to take place. However, Obama has encouraged racism in ways that no other President in history has.
The shooting in Florida of a 17-year-old black youth named Trayvon Martin by a self-appointed neighborhood watch captain named George Zimmerman has become the poster boy story of racism in America. Shootings happen regularly in America, but since this was an innocent black kid shot by a mean ol' white guy (who is actually Hispanic, as I understand it), it has become the story of the year, and a great example of how dangerous shey-whitey can be.
Protests by folks wearing hoodies in support of Martin have erupted nationwide, and Jesse Jackson has gone so far as to say that we are seeing evidence that "Blacks are under attack" in America.
Obama has chimed in, as well, which makes sense when one considers his Reverend Wright inspired racism. Never mind that he has been inciting division with his class warfare, and saying things to groups things like "punish your enemies."
Santorum and Newt Gingrich were ostracized for daring to challenge Obama's remarks, but I am willing to consider that if this had been a white kid shot by a black neighborhood watch captain, it probably would have never made the news, and if Obama had said something insensitive about it, no one would have cared.
Then it got interesting. Now witnesses are appearing saying that Martin attacked Zimmerman, and the neighborhood watch guy was acting in self-defense.
In my opinion, a kid got shot and killed. He may, or may not, have been a troubled teen. He may or may not have been a threat to Zimmerman, and if Zimmerman felt the need to defend himself, the evidence will reveal that. This was somebody's son. Somebody's child. Regardless of color or circumstance, a child has died and a mother is grieving. Shouldn't we be zeroing in on that, and be praying for those that loved and lost Trayvon?
Oh, and Reverend Jackson? There is no war against blacks in America. Don't sensationalize this for your precious Obama so that he can get a sympathy vote. Your statement in its own right is idiotic.
