Mitt Romney finally got the big win he has been looking for. To win the GOP nomination, winning the most delegates is not enough. One must win a "majority" of delegates, or more than 50%. Romney's wins have been under 50% for the most part, so winning big in Washington is a boost. Then again, did you expect any less? Being on the West Coast, Washington is a very liberal State, and liberal Republicans tend to go for the more moderate candidate... namely, Romney.
This sets up Super Tuesday where ten States will have primaries, and a big win in most of those States, say experts, will place Romney on the path to nomination. But remember, in 2008 McCain came out of nowhere, and in this election Santorum and Gingrich have remained within striking distance. A good Super Tuesday for either of them could keep this thing interesting, take it down to the wire, and perhaps even result in a brokered convention.
The only polls I believe 100% are the voting booths, because that is when the talking is really accomplished.
Stay tuned, I am thinking it will be a wild and woolly Super Tuesday. . . with Santorum hanging in there in ways nobody is expecting.
