During the presidency of George W. Bush a film in Canada was made depicting the President's assassination. Liberals routinely called Bush a war criminal, compared him to Adolf Hitler, and labeled him a Nazi. George W. Bush was demonized to such an extent that I found people telling me they hated Bush, but could not express a single reason why they felt that way, other than repeating the "warmonger/hatemonger" party line.
Whenever Bush was challenged, depicted as evil, compared to Hitler, or had death wished upon him, the offending party was either ignored by the media, or considered courageous and was to be commended.
Even now, as Romney becomes the apparent nomination for the GOP in the 2012 election, the same kind of attacks are being used. Joy Behar has indicated she wants to see Romney's house burn down, saying "it would be kind of cool."
The moves against Bush have not stopped either. The television show, Game of Thrones, put George W. Bush's head on a stake.
Could you imagine the uproar if they had done that to Obama?
Besides, it is well known, and we are told constantly, that anyone who dares oppose Obama is automatically a racist.
When I posted pics accusing Obama of being a part of the Chicago Machine, and regarding the speculation by some that he was born in Kenya, a liberal commenter fired at me about them calling me racist. How is that racist? The Chicago political machine is known for its corruption, and Obama claims proudly to come from the Chicago political scene. As for Kenya, is his father not a Kenyan? Is there not speculation that he may have been born in Kenya?
How is any of that racist?
Oh, yeah, it's racist because I am daring to oppose Obama.
According to one article put out by Yahoo! News, I may be racist and not even know it.
Angela Rye, Executive Director of the Congressional Black Caucus, says that it is precisely racism that has caused President Obama to struggle during his first term. She said the racism is due to racially-motivated opposition from conservatives who dislike having a black president.
"This is probably the toughest presidential term in my lifetime," Rye said. "I think that a lot of what the president has experienced is because he's black. You know, whether it's questioning his intellect or whether or not he's Ivy League. It's always either he's not educated enough or he's too educated; or he's too black or he's not black enough; he's too Christian or not Christian enough. There are all these things where he has to walk this very fine line to even be successful."
She said that "a lot" of conservative opposition is racially-charged, citing the use of the word "cool" in an attack ad launched by Karl Rove's Crossroads GPS superPAC.
So, now the word "cool" is racist, along with "Chicago Machine," and "Kenya."
Personally, I don't care if he's black, purple, or if he was born on Mars. Obama's authoritarian policies, his socialist policies, and his unconstitutional actions is enough for me to oppose Obama. Racism has nothing to do with it, and is only being used by the democrats because they are worried that he will lose in 2012, and the race card often works for them when they use it.
In other words, the accusation of racism is simply evidence that the democrats are in a desperate panic.
