File this under signs the Ron Paul campaign is really, truly over: Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul threw his support tonight to Mitt Romney.
The endorsement came in an appearance on "Hannity," a little less than 24 hours after the elder Paul acknowledged in an email that his delegate total is "not enough to win the nomination."
Romney embraced the endorsement in a press release, calling Rand Paul a "leading voice in the effort to scale back the size and reach of government and promote liberty."
I little while back I indicated that choosing Rand Paul as his running mate was one of the best things Romney could do. It would draw in the conservatives and Ron Paul fans that are not necessarily hip with Romney.
Could this endorsement be a clue that Rand Paul may be Romney's running mate?

Really? It just now dawned on that crazy old bastard that he doesn't have enough delegates to win the GOP nomination? Ipso facto, tell me how that lends the slightest credibility to Rand Paul as a veep choice for Governor Romney?
Senator Paul would be the Dan Quayle of 2012. His qualifications to step into the presidency are less than Barack Obama's were four years ago. Mitt would be daft to pick him.
