I have a number of friends who grew up in communism, and all of them agree that what is happening under the rule of the Democrats is eerily reminiscent of the tyrannies they escaped from. My friend Arkady Faktorovich grew up in the Ukraine. He was an engineer in the Soviet Union, but made a higher wage pumping gas in the United States when he first came home to capitalism. Patriot Greg, after defecting from Romania, spent six months in Israel and seventeen years in the Dominican Republic before he was able to get into the United States. Now, he says it was all worth it. John of Cuba Companioni is a Cuban Exile, and he remembers life under Castro, coming to America as a child and looking back only in the hopes of Cuba someday being freed from the iron fist of communism. I worked with Paul at my previous job, and he came to America from Russia. As a truck driver in America he lives like a rich man compared to the poverty he lived under due to the policies of the socialists in Communist Russia. The Democrat Party's platform, he told me, is nearly identical to the regime he lived under. . . and the rhetoric is similar as well. The list goes on and on. Those who lived under communism agree, what we are seeing here in America is the same path they saw in the countries they escaped from. . . and apparently, Thomas Peterffy agrees:
