My first thought was, "If it said 'choose abortion,' and there was no 'choose life' plates available, I wonder how the judge would have ruled?"
The North Carolina license plate that has a "pro-life" message on it, according to U.S. District Court Judge James C. Fox, is unconstitutional. Judge Fox concluded, “The State’s offering of a Choose Life license plate in the absence of a pro-choice plate constitutes viewpoint discrimination in violation of the First Amendment.”
Viewpoint discrimination? What in the hell is he talking about? Where in the hell in the Constitution does it say such a thing? And since when does the federal courts have the authority to dictate to a State what their license plates say?
Of course, the ACLU filed the lawsuit, claiming that it wasn't fair that the pro-life folks got their license plate, and the pro-abortionists didn't get theirs.
Remember, we are in the "we gotta be fair" mode, with Barry Obama in office.
So if a State comes out with a "Mothers Against Drunk Driving" license plate, would that be unconstitutional because there is no pro-drunk plate? If a State comes out with a "Can't we all just get along" plate, will it be unconstitutional because there is no KKK plate? How about the plates with an American Flag on it. Should we strike that because Communist China, or Islam, doesn't have their flags on a plate?
The ACLU calls this a victory for free speech, when in reality, it is a blow against free speech.
Six amendments were proposed in the legislature to authorize an additional new plate that stated either, “Trust Women. Respect Choice,” or simply “Respect Choice.” The legislature rejected all six amendments. If the people don't like it, vote your people out, or put on the ballot a measure calling for a pro-abortion plate. It is none of the federal government's business, and the federal judge had no jurisdiction to override the State legislature. Local issues belong to the local governments.
The judge's preliminary injunction in November 2011 that temporarily blocked production of the “Choose Life” plate is now permanent.
The madness continues to get worse.

Here is another judge that needs the boot. One thing he did not take away is the right of the people to put a frame around their license plate.
How about a frame that says "Please don't chop up babies!"
