Knives Don't Kill People. . . People Kill People

By Douglas V. Gibbs

On the Lone Star College campus a knife-wielding maniac injured 14 people, stabbing and slashing anyone he could get his blade into.  Twelve of the people were rushed to local hospitals, while others were treated at the scene.  Many of the injuries were to the face and neck.  The campus was locked down as the suspect, Dylan Andrew Quick, ran through the campus taking swipes at people with his razor-sharp knife.

Since the left has decided guns are the reason for shootings, then where is their cries regarding knives?  Shall we now ban knives nationwide?  Should sharp objects require a national registry in regards to who owns these deadly weapons?  Before buying a new kitchen knife set should the purchaser be fingerprinted, and go through a long background check process before being allowed to bring those knives home?  Should the knives be locked up in a safe, and if children draw pictures of a butter knife at school will they be suspended?  Maybe we should just confiscate all knives, and make the possession of particular "military-style" knives a federal offense.  Perhaps schools across America should be designated "knife-free zones," and practice a "zero-tolerance" policy regarding knives.  Begin cutting your steaks with forks, folks, because as individuals you just can't be trusted with knives.

Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?  But that is exactly the insanity they are doing when it comes to guns.

Just a thought.  Could it have nothing to do with knives, and everything to do with that that individual using the knives to slash people is a dangerous and violent person?
