It is fascinating when it comes to Islam and Leftism.  They claim they are all about tolerance, and if you disagree with them, you must be silence. . .

25,000 Muslims March in England Calling for Laws to Silence Critics of Islam

Up to 25,000 British Pakistani men, women and children from across the UK gathered in Aston Park to call on the British government to introduce legislation that bars people from insulting Islam under the garb of the freedom of speech.

The participants, who also travelled from several parts of European cities, were led in a mile-long march by Hazrat Peer Alauddin Siddiqui.  This is the fourth consecutive gathering for the biggest Melaad-un-Nabi of British Pakistani in Britain but this year it was dedicated to "protect the honor and legacy of Hazrat Muhammad".

Note: If Islam is such a wonderful religion, then why do they have to force people not to say anything bad about it to make themselves feel okay?  And if someone breaks the law and says something bad about Islam, what will be the punishment?  Beheading?


It’s an Obama World… US Army Tells Troops to Scrape Bible Verses Off Their Weapons

The U.S. Army is directing troops to remove a Bible inscription that a vendor etched into the serial numbers of weapon scopes, Fox News has learned.

Soldiers at Fort Wainwright in Alaska told Fox News they received a directive to turn in their scopes so the Bible references could be removed.

The scopes were made by Trijicom and referenced New Testament passages in John 8:12 and Second Corinthians 4:6. The verses appeared at the end of the scope serial numbers – “JN8:12” and “2COR4:6.”

“The biblical verse (JN8:12) must be removed utilizing a Dremel type tool and then painted black,” read instructions on how to remedy the matter.

After the letters and numbers were scraped off, soldiers were directed to use apply black paint to ensure the verses were totally covered.

Note: If the verses had been from the Muslim's Koran, would they have done the same?


THE UGLY FACE OF FEMINIST WRATH: Foul-Mouthed, Topless Protesters Drench Archbishop With Water

Early in April, topless activists from the Kiev-based feminist group FEMEN invaded a lecture on blasphemy by Archbishop André-Joseph Léonard, Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels, and doused him with water. Archbishop Léonard, speaking at the Université libre de Bruxelles, did not react—instead praying quietly and averting his eyes until the demonstrators were brought under control. Before leaving the room, he kissed an image of the Virgin Mary.

Since his installation as archbishop in February 2010, Archbishop Léonard has been an outspoken advocate on issues such as homosexuality and the relationship to HIV/AIDS. In late 2010, he was hit in the face with a cherry pie by a protestor during a Mass at Brussels’ Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula.

FEMEN, which was founded in 2008, has protested in support of issues including abortion and gay marriage, and opposing Islamism and sharia law. Their radical viewpoints frequently bring them into conflict with religion.

Note: Did they take lessons from their American counterparts?  Except in America, after lashing out, the feminists then consider in verbal opposition to them to be a part of a War on Women.


Democratic strategist: Media purposefully suppressing news that would hurt Obama

Former Democratic strategist Pat Caddell goes after mainstream media.

On Monday, former Democratic strategist Pat Caddell told Fox News' Bill O'Reilly that the so-called "mainstream media" is purposefully suppressing news that would hurt Barack Obama.

"It's a purposeful, conscious effort to suppress news that might hurt Obama," he toldO'Reilly.

"Look Bill, we’ve had liberal bias or bias in the press for a long time. And it’s gotten worse starting in 2008. But now we’ve got a press that is actively engaged in a reelection – putting out a narrative that Romney is a loser, they’re running polls… But Romney’s not my issue here. More importantly they not only decided to support Obama. On this issue the last two weeks what we see is a press that has decided that it will not tell the American people the truth.”

Note: I wonder what the uproar would have been if the media had done the same for Bush?

Gay Activists Demand Boycott, Investigation Of Christian Company For Refusing To Print Gay Pride T-Shirts

What if the tables were turned and it was a bunch of Christians suing a company owned by gays for refusing to print T-shirts with a scripture or statement condemning homosexual behavior? Would they then not agree that a private business owner has a right to refuse to produce goods or perform services that conflict with their moral convictions?

Dave Bohon reports at the New American:

A T-shirt company in Lexington, Kentucky, is facing the wrath of a local homosexual activist contingent after the business politely passed on producing T-shirts for the city’s “gay pride” festival. On March 26, Lexington’s Gay and Lesbian Services Organization(GLSO) filed a discrimination complaint against the family-owned company, Hands On Originals, alleging that the firm had bid on producing the shirts, but when it was selected its owners changed their minds, explaining that their Christian values made them unable to fill the order for the “gay”-themed apparel.

“This wouldn’t be acceptable to do to a black group,” Paul Brown, chairman of Lexington’s Pride Festival, told the community’s local NBC news affiliate. “This wouldn’t be acceptable to do to a Jewish group, and because of the fairness ordinance it’s unacceptable to do it to a gay group.”

Note: File this in the same folder with: "Prayer is not allowed in schools, but forcing school through legislation to teach homosexuality is acceptable is just fine."
