By Douglas V. Gibbs
The message of the Georgia Guidestones is engraved on eight faces of the four upright stones in eight different languages. The message is in English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian.
The ten guidelines are:
1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.
The list of ten is a list of progressive liberal left fantasies towards creating a communal utopian system. The first is a call for protection against the population explosion, as made famous by Paul R. Ehrlich's book, "The Population Bomb." It is kind of ironic that the whole idea in itself was founded through communist principles. Ehrlich called for the government to control the consumption of natural resources and food supplies, eliminating unnecessarily environmentally damaging technologies, and to find a way to radically reduce the planet's population size (one must ask how that would be done - mass extermination?). Ehrlich was also one to support bringing down the affluent, so as to reduce overconsumption by the rich. It was considered by him to be, after all, the humane thing to do. Hate the rich, tax the rich, and ultimately eliminate the rich. Marx's battle between the bourgeois and proletarians, anyone?

The second guideline calls for guiding reproduction wisely, which stinks of the slaughter of the unborn (abortion).
In the third guideline the call for giving humanity a living new language is, I suppose, an anti-Tower of Babel call. After all, the confusion keeps us from building our way to becoming gods, right?
The fourth guideline, though it tries to explain it in such a poetic manner, is a call for the elimination of religion, and to institute a more "reasonable" secular society. I will expound more upon this one later in the article.
The fifth guideline, using the key liberal word of "fair," is simply a call for what the left calls "social justice." In other words, using government to force equality of result through the redistribution of wealth, and the use of the courts to strike down all that refuse to comply with the new age of reason. Oh, yeah, that sounds like freedom and liberty, right?
The sixth guideline is basically a call for an end of national sovereignty, and to allow a global or international organization serve as the arbiters of justice. A dangerous proposition that basically creates a new world order oligarchy that lets a few power elites control and enslave an entire world.
Guideline seven, calling for an avoidance of petty laws and useless officials seems reasonable enough. Who wants a bunch of petty laws and useless officials running around? Sounds good, until you begin to dig. To R.C. Christian, the man behind the Georgia Guidestones, a system of representation is useless, filled with useless officials making petty laws. He is calling for the centralization of government, removing representative institutions and local governmental entities, consolidating all of the power at the top. We must remember, however, that all tyrannies demand centralized systems, which in turn dissolves the people into a homogeneous mass of subjects. The operation of the central government would then be left to a ruling elite who is presumed to recognize what is best for society, making all voluntary associations subject to government regulation and control in the name of reason and what is best for the collective. Such a system would spell the end of individual liberty, and individuality would be stamped out, restrained by the body politic. In turn, innovation and the incentives to improve one's life, and one's station in life, would be wiped out.
Social justice once again pops its head up in guideline eight. We must remember, as unique individuals, we will never fully voluntarily succumb to what the body politic calls for, so our social duties will become mandatory, mandated by the ruling elite, and punished by the law should we refuse - once again for the good of the people, or the good of the collective. Human Nature runs opposed to such guidelines that seem fine on paper, but require a totalitarian governmental system to enforce.
Guideline nine is quite Orwellian. "Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite. But to such a system, what is truth, beauty, love and harmony? Who defines such a thing? And if there are those that oppose the government mandated definitions of truth, beauty, love and harmony, will that governmental body punish those that dare oppose their definitions? Hate crime laws are a perfect example of this guideline in action.
The final guideline relegates humanity down to the level of cancer. We are a parasite on this planet according to people like R.C. Christian. We are holding back nature. This guideline reeks of militant environmentalism that places humanity somewhere at the bottom of the totem pole, and demands radical and extreme measures like Agenda 21 that demands we all of humanity be boxed into a few cities, never to be allowed out into the rural areas where we are doing what we can to save Kangaroo Rats, Gnat Catchers, and some nearly extinct weed.
The message on the Georgia Guidestones is ominous, lending to a belief system that is in direct opposition of the founding principles of this nation, and the principles of Biblical text. Reading the text brought back memories of those who believe that humanity's supposed evolution is leading us to a kind of new age, be it the Age of Aquarius, or some kind of singularity where humanity is presumed to reach the level of God, and therefore the existence of gods are a moot point and unnecessary.
The Georgia Guidestones hearkens memories of those that called for an age of reason, a force that was behind the French Revolution, and the rise of the Illuminati. They are presented as being a reasonable thing, and some of them, on their face, seem to be. But in reality, the guidelines call for a system that must enforce such demands on society, for human nature would never voluntarily pursue such.
The message on the guidestones unleashes the principles of fanaticism, and as we proceed through our new century, we have come to the realization that our battle is one that will either be a renewal of constitutional values and traditions, or disintegration into a statist system where the increasing power of government will dictate the parameters of society, and enforce a list of demands by the ruling elite akin to those listed on the Georgia Guidestones.
The secular left desires the message on the guidestones, and are willing to stop at nothing to ensure it happens, regardless of reality, and regardless of other forces that are also positioning for domination. Islam is a key component in this battle, for the primary barrier against Islamic infestation across the entire world has been the opposing faiths of Judaism and Christianity. The secular world seeks to make the world less religious, to eliminate the influence of religious faith on society, but when a system is void of religion, and becomes a secular society, there is no resistance to the advancing hordes of of the Islamic Jihad.
It is no accident that in European societies the strongest Islamic outrages in recent years have been in Denmark, Netherlands, and France - countries that are radically secular. Muslims view such an inability to resist them a weakness. Reality dictates that the more open and liberal a society, the more likely it will be a target for jihad.
The secular left, while endeavoring to achieve a society of reason based on principles much like those on the Georgia Guidestones, considers Islamic radicalism to be the result of deplorable conditions in the Muslim World. The secular left refuses to accept that there is a more rational explanation for Islam's seemingly irrational behavior. They refuse to recognize that the violence is fomented by religious zealotry anchored in a deep hate of all things non-Muslim. To recognize such a reality would also be to recognize that Islam is something that no secular left concessions could possibly mitigate.
R.C. Christian, the man behind the Georgia Guidestones, believed that a new age of reason is on the precipice, and if only humanity could let go of the shackles of religion, mankind can enter the new age of reason. But as with his American Liberal counterparts, the endeavor as depicted on the Georgia Guidestones can only manifest in a world that is a completely static place, without exceptions, without anomolies, and without detours. As with Asimov's Foundation Series, where Hari Seldon's plan was flawless if not for the radical figure known as "The Mule," the secular left's plans are destined to be derailed by reality, and unintended consequences.
How our society handles the inevitable confrontation with Islam will define whether or not we will survive as a society. Without core values, and the willingness to protected those fundamental principles, the confrontation between Islam and the West is destined to end in disaster. The task is spiritual, and no one is willing to fight to the death for liberal philosophies against the advancing forces of Islam. The system, left to ideas embodied in the writings on the Georgia Guidestones, is doomed to fail, fall apart, and be conquered.
The reality is that utopia is not around the corner, and it never has been. Humanity is defined by struggle, and the way to defeat evil is with good. Power must meet power. We must have the courage to pledge to each other our lives, fortunes, and sacred honor (as the Declaration of Independence puts it) or the seductive tenets of secularism with create for us a society that is destined to be overrun and defeated. We either must experience a revival of traditional values based on the principles that led the Founding Fathers to the writing of the U.S. Constitution, or we will be conquered by the forces that oppose us.
While fearing a theocracy by the Christian Right that was never going to materialize, the secular left is working to create their own theocracy with American Liberalism, in the long run setting themselves up to be conquered by an Islamic theocracy.
Secularism has concluded that God cannot exist, and that self-satisfied conviction has determined that we need no godly moral code, and no set system of virtuous standards - which in turn has created for us a loss of social cohesion, making our civilization unable to defend against those that wish to tear us down. Our free society cannot endure if it is unwilling to conserve the principles that made it a free and prosperous society in the first place.
Therefore, the Georgia Guidestones must not be a vision of guidance into the new age of reason as advertised, but a warning of what we could pursue if we are stupid enough to do so, which would ultimately result in our demise as a system.
