Tim Tebow is an interesting case. He is a physical specimen that can blow his way through a defensive line and knock over linebackers on his way to picking up big yards. He is a bruising football player that is a leader on the bench with intangibles that definitely influence his team's attitude and drive for the positive. He is in the running to be listed by Forbes as the most influential athlete. Sounds like a fantastic running back, or receiver, right?
Tebow's poor throwing mechanics is what makes him an undesirable player. . . because he's a quarterback.
Now, Tim is considering calling it quits. After three years in the NFL. Why? No team wants him. . . as a quarterback.
My message to Tim? Be willing to be a running back, or whatever else a team wants you to be, so that your talents, which may not be steering you in a quarterback direction like you want, can be utilized to its fullest, and your message of good sportsmanship and your positive influence on the league, can continue on.
Either that, or maybe the Arena League could use you. As a quicker game looking for large, running, bruising quarterbacks, it might be right up your alley.
