Obama Delays Consumer Protection in Health Care Law to 2015

By Douglas V. Gibbs

A key provision that would limit the cost to the consumer for health care has been delayed until 2015. The move is an effort to keep premiums lower for one more year, but when it goes into place, insurance costs will massively rise.  However, delaying this provision also enables insurance companies no limit on the expenses they will pass to consumers.  The reason?  Keep premiums lower for the mid-term election next year, and then let them balloon after the election so that people can't afford insurance, and government can "save the day" with Single Payer.

Think about it. More out of pocket for consumers helps insurance companies manage costs through how much they will pay for treatments. But once a consumer cost limit is in place, the insurance companies will have to find a way to recoup their costs. They will do so through raising premiums, and that has now been delayed to 2015 - after the mid- term election.   With the higher premiums folks won't be able to afford their insurance anymore, destroying the industry, and opening the door for government control... by design.

Remember, Senate Democrat Leader Harry Reid said we are one step away from Single Payer.

Socialism at work, but in a way so that you, they hope, won't notice, and in a way so that you will end up crying out for government run health care as the Health Insurance industry collapses under the weight of Obamacare.

One more thing, Obama by delaying this provision is modifying the law.  Modifying law is a legislative power.  According to Article I, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution, all legislative powers belongs to Congress, and to no other branch of government.

“The United States will eventually fly the Communist red flag…TheAmerican people will hoist it themselves.” - Nikita Krushchev, July 19, 1962.

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But under the name of Liberalism, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, Socialist Party presidential candidate in 1940, 1944 and 1948.
