Big, Bad Wolf

by JASmius
Virginia Congressman Frank Wolf is leading the charge to establish a Select Committee of the House to dig for the truth behind the Benghazi scandal. In part two of our exclusive interview with the veteran lawmaker, Norvell Rose of LibertyNEWS.com asked Wolf what was really going on at the Benghazi compound when it was attacked a year ago.

Wolf is wasting his time on this futile Benghazigate chase.  The Obama Regime isn't going to cooperate in uncovering its own cover-up and there's no way to compel them to do so.

But there are reasons for fighting the good fight beyond victory.  As the Apostle Paul wrote in his farewell address to Timothy:

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith...
In the short term, Paul's accomplishments were comparatively modest; he evangelized and founded and taught churches throughout Asia Minor and Southeastern Europe, but the Church of his day was never more than a tiny sect that came under ever more vicious persecution by the paganism-crazed global empire of Rome.  Paul himself was beheaded in middle age, martyred before he had a chance to extend the Gospel throughout Europe, Africa, and beyond.  Nobody could say that Paul was a failure, but by any human standard he could not be said to have accomplished his mission.  Yet he clearly did not agree with that conclusion, and he was right - because the magnitude of his success came long after his lifetime.  You could say that Paul was "playing the long game".

THAT is the game that Congressman Wolf is playing, whether he realizes it or not.  Ditto the entire Tea Party (though the bulk of TPers most definitely aren't aware of it, which is what makes them so vexing to me).  The America we knew is gone; it just hasn't finished collapsing yet.  We're laying the foundation for the Insurgency to come and the eventual resurrection of a Second American Republic, phoenix-like, from the ashes of the first.  It is a mission, not of one or even several election cycles, but of decades, the fruition of which most of us, as with the Apostle Paul, probably won't live to see.

This is why TPers need to cease and desist from carpet bombing the GOP for failing to do what is not within their power, and realize two critical things: (1) Victory is not coming anytime soon, and (2) the Constitutionalist cause needs every ally it can get.  Or they can keep not looking beyond the end of their noses, eradicate all their actual and potential friends (saving the Obamunists the trouble), truncate Constitutionalism to a permanently irrelevant rump sect, and try to take solace in the depths of that self-inflicted misery that their "purity" is intact.

As for Frank Wolf, good hunting, sir.  And who knows?  If the truth behind Benghazigate - that the Obama Regime was using Libya to arm al Qaeda in Syria - could batter down the Obamedia embargo and be lined up beside O's abortive bombgasm against Boy Assad on al Qaeda's behalf, perhaps that would be the tipping point that would trigger O's martial law declaration.  Stranger things have happened.
