The myth of man-made global warming has proven to prove itself wrong. Yet, Climate Change Zealots still line up to make dire predictions of a world under water and people dying from the effects of a sweltering planet - that could have been saved if we'd just stopped driving those damn SUVs. The latest crazy wing-nut to proclaim Gore-style predictions of doom and gloom is Boomtown Rat, and "Pink" from "Pink Floyd's The Wall," Sir (hell, they'll knight just about anybody) Bob Geldof.
Predictions of death to all humans by 2030 were the main points of a speech Geldof gave to a bunch of young, impressionable minds in South Africa. He brightened his rosy speech with the horrors of a future world suffering from the ravages of man's irresponsibility when it comes to man-made climate change, rumors of wars bigger than any world war in history, famine and pestilence.
As the young minds absorbed the not-so-wise ramblings of the Climate Change Kook, news to the contrary was becoming old news.
In 2013, the year it was predicted the ice caps would be completely melted away by hack-job scientists like Professor Wieslaw Maslowski, and our favorite, greedy, take-every-dollar-he-can-from-the-cause, whose house is hardly environmentally friendly, super-environmentalist Al Gore, the Earth has gained a record amount of Sea Ice. In fact, the gain of Sea Ice is the largest increase on record. . . and that includes in comparison to the early seventies when these same dooms-day'rs were predicting a coming global ice age.
As Sir Geldof spews fear and discontent, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's (IPCC) latest report dials back the alarm over Climate Change because their dire predictions are just not coming true.
Besides, wasn't Barack Obama's presidency supposed to lower the sea levels and save us all?
Maybe Geldof still thinks George W. Bush remains at the helm in America.
Oh, and Mr. Boomtown Rat? Perhaps you should invest in a few jackets. I hear your friends plan to start predicting the next ice age is coming. . . and it is all our fault.
