....which really isn't much of a shock. Of course they're going to delay the individual mandate; after all, they can't bring about the "death spiral" of the private health insurance market if OCare goes down that chute first. And of course they're going to claim credit for responding to public demands for same, even though it'll really be to save their own political read ends. And of course they're going to blame the OCare rollout disaster on the Republicans. They would do that in their sleep.
Which is what made Shutdowngeddon such poor strategy - it couldn't accomplish the lofty goals set out for it, and it handed the White House's inevitable finger-pointing wholly unnecessary propaganda ammunition. It speaks, once again, to the old adage that when you're outnumbered, you must carefully pick your battles to maximize your chances of success, not blunder forward blindly and indiscriminately and get your entire outfit mowed down in the bargain.
However, Mr. Rose is right about one thing: the GOP has got to get in the ObamaCare messaging game. It's the only way to win the elections necessary to regain the power to get rid of ObamaCare and its architects once and for all.
