Megyn Kelly made note of this last night with his "Obi Wan Kenobi" speech from yesterday morning. This morning Joe Scarborough piled on:
Again, I would demur here a bit, because O didn't "over-promise" on ObamaCare, he was shoveling bovine excrement with a nuclear-powered backhoe. "Over-promise" implies that the American people are getting something of what he promised but not all of it; what they're actually getting is the diametric opposite of what he promised. In any other "transaction" that would be what is generally known as "massive fraud" whose perpetrators would be facing criminal prosecution and major jail time. Hell, Red Barry is the epitome of the Left's stereotype of "Big Business," and were he in that context Democrats would be self-righteosly calling for punitive legislation to keep any "corporation" from pulling any such scam ever again.
Also, I would suggest that while the White House is in a "bunker mentality," I don't think that extends to The One himself. His metaphasic narcissism shields protect his ego and psyche from such transphasic introspection torpedoes. As far as he's concerned, he's checked off another box and has moved on to the next crisis.
But his political commissars know the magnitude of the doo-doo jam they're in.....
....but since they're otherwise the same loathsome pieces of filth that False Messiah is, they're reacting in precisely the way you would expect - and digging the hole ever deeper:
Twitter lit up over White House spokesman Dan Pfeiffer's statement blaming a Stage 4 cancer patient and insurance companies — instead of the president's signature legislation — for the woman losing the coverage that has kept her alive despite a dire prognosis.
Late Monday, Pfeiffer — under his Twitter tag @pfeiffer44 — tweeted a link to a story posted on the ultra-liberal blog "Think Progress," titled "The Real Reason That The Cancer Patient Writing in Today's Wall Street Journal Lost Her Insurance."
....that he'd never forget, if he wasn't too much of a loathsome piece of filth to give a damn:
LetItBurnUSA @LetItBurnUSA
@pfeiffer44 @TPHealth Smearing cancer patients? Really, Dan?@michellemalkin @KristinnFR Also smears an ins co for not being able to 'compete' against insidious forced gov't takeover of ins industryDan Pfeiffer is absolute scum.@pfeiffer44 So because you guys lied to the public, you have to smear a cancer patient for picking the wrong insurance company? Nice touch.@pfeiffer44 How compassionate of you, plus you're lying. They left because of Obamacare.
Dick. --> @pfeiffer44 @TPHealth
@pfeiffer44 You're so cool Dan. So brave.. You show that person with a terminal illness who is boss.
@pfeiffer44 @TPHealth Dan, you are a lying punk who smears elderly cancer patients. You serve Obama well. He lied about his own dying mother@pfeiffer44 @TPHealth God the Obamas administration have reached a new low! This is not a honorable administration going on for 5 years enuf—
@pfeiffer44 could you possibly be more of an uncaring d-bag?
@pfeiffer44 @TPHealth do you have no shame?
@pfeiffer44 you are a total scumbag @TPHealth her plan would have stayed in place if not for @BarackObama and #Obamacare#CancerPatients, may I introduce you to @pfeiffer44 @HarryReid & @thinkprogress . They truly care about you. (CC: @TwitchyTeam)Let's sick back and ponder what the press coverage would be like if @pfeiffer44 worked for a Republican as he attacks a woman with cancer.
If you like being a douchebag, you can keep being a douchebag. https://twitter.com/pfeiffer44/status/397368541348782080 …
It's all about context, folks. The Regime has perpetrated the biggest, most malicious fraud in the history of the country, directly affecting everyone, and inextricably binding itself to it, and their spokesdick's idea of damage control is to smear a stage-4 cancer survivor whose means of survival for the past seven years has now been taken away from her. Pfeiffer and O might as well be holding a gun to her temple. To say that this is laying waste to the "brand" of both Barack Obama and the larger Democrat Party and its big picture paradigm of Big Government is a gaping understatement.
None need wonder what Scarborough was talking up another 2010-like midterm massacre a year from now, or why I am so bullish on a Shutdowngeddon rematch on the most Cruzian of terms.
