Oh, come now, why would anybody have any concerns about crooks, racketeers, and identity thieves?
I find the White House's response to Chairman Issa's smackdown underratedly telling. "A partisan bent on undermining [ObamaCare] at all costs" is, in one sense, a null statement, since (1) Issa never claimed not to be partisan, and (2) it isn't like The One is "above the fray," as he loves to claim. In another sense, the sentence assumes O-Care's legitimacy and public support, neither of which exists, which is most, if not all, of why O's approval numbers continue to crater. Seriously, how could Republicans "sabotage" the UCA? And why would they bother since the Regime has done a bang-up job of sabotage all on their own? And please, Senator Murray, spare us the "rooting for failure" whine, as though Democrats didn't spend years rooting for American defeat in Iraq and Afghanistan for no other reason than to damage President Bush and his party - which succeeded wildly, as it happened. Sauce for the goose, and all that.
When one has failed catastrophically at something really, really, big and important, and has run out of excuses, one tends to descend into anger, bluster, and lashing out. It would appear that the pressure is getting to the inhabitants of their self-proclaimed "heavenlies". I'd worry about hurled lightning bolts, but given this bunch's obsession with "green" energy, we're only talking carpet shocks.
