Ted Cruz On Supreme Court Taking Up Presidential Overreach

by JASmius

Specifically, O's illegal usurpation of the Senate's Article 1/Section 5 power to define and determine when it is in session and when it is in recess vis-a-vie Maximum Leader's fondness for making recess appointments:

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Ted Cruz is like New Gingrich - when he's focused and pointed in the right direction, he's not just good, he's very good.  And does anybody doubt him for a single, solitary femtosecond when he says here that he'd be condemning a Republican president engaging in such Obamaesque imperial excesses (like any would, post-Watergate) every bit as stridently?  Hell, he's probably soft-pedaling The One compared to what he'd do to a fellow 'Pubbie.  It's just who he is.

I just hope he doesn't convince himself that the "non-partisan objectivity" example he's trying to set will ever be emulated by the Dems.  That would be a stomach-turning level of naivete undermining both his own party and the constitutionalist cause he purportedly serves.

UPDATE: It may not be looking good for the King.

I don't trust the Supreme Court. They declared Obamacare Constitutional. As far as I'm concerned, they've lost credibility unless they do the right thing.

Losers!
