The Edge of Madness

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Growing up in the seventies I remember the tales of the future.  Spaceships and flying cars.  Robots and artificial intelligence.  Breakthroughs in medical technology.  Bigger computers and global governance.  A fight for territory and food.  Water shortages.  Gun confiscation.  Rationing of goods.  Genetic experiments.  Wars and rumors of wars.  A loss of morality.  Right becomes wrong and wrong becomes right.  A period of time where it becomes so bad that there is a gnashing of teeth.  It will be as if the world has gone made, and I was sure it would not happen in my lifetime.

Russia has invaded Ukraine, is in the process of taking control of Crimea, and a paranoid leader named Vladimir Putin dreams of a new Soviet Union.  Russia claims they have shot down an American flying robot called a drone, while a missing flight from the far east is tracked by satellite technology.  A Muslim jihad group that has been waging war on the United States is calling for attacks on American soil, and her allies, with car bombs.

As the Mars-One program works towards establishing a permanent settlement on Mars, scientists are using breakthroughs in medical technology to move towards creating brain implants for perfect memory, enhanced vision, hypernormal focus (never mind the research and genetic engineering creating chimera, human cloning, human-animal hybrids, and other genetically engineered creations).  Instead of bigger computers, we have a massive Internet, but now it is being handed over to global governance.  California's drought competes with the eastern storms, while genetic experiments in food has chased away pure seeds and have left us with genetically modified poison.  Rich farmland has been turned into wasteland to save a tiny fish.  Private Property is being taken by a United Nations Resolution called Agenda 21, eliminating property rights in the name of environmentalism, and "sustainable development."

In an effort to push gun control, guns are being confiscated unconstitutionally (ex post facto) in California and New York.  A Connecticut Cop has stated he can't wait to begin kicking in doors to confiscate firearms.

In Britain gays are now suing churches for not marrying them, while in America the lawsuits are regarding wedding cakes, photography, and any State that dares to pass laws attempting to protect marriage.  Prayer is disallowed in schools (and moms can't even pray off-campus), and some schools are searching lunch boxes because we can't trust parents to properly feed their own children according to national standards.  A child was suspended for daring to say Merry Christmas to his teacher.  Clothing and necklaces or rosaries showing one's faith are under fire, and even shirts with the American Flag can be banned because they may be offensive to non-American students.  Yet, a positive portrayal of homosexual history is mandated to be taught, and a bathroom bill allowing boys who think they are girls to use female bathrooms and gym locker rooms is in play for those poor transgender kids who will be having doctors mutilate their genitals because they've decided they are confused about their gender identity.

Considering today's society, is it any surprise we have people confused about what they think they are supposed to be?

A topsy-turvy world, and the leftists have only just got started.

Solutions?

Education, activism, and infiltration into the institutions the liberal left has hijacked.
