Irrational national defense cuts by the liberal left democrats in power in Washington, unilaterally by the White House without consideration of the constitutional authorities granted to Congress regarding the funding of our military in Article I, Section 8, has been devastating to our ability to potentially defend ourselves as a nation. The weakening of our national defense, I believe, has directly influenced the reasoning of Vladimir Putin and his recent episodes of Russian aggression, and a heightened level of North Korean saber rattling. Without a national defense, all other issues are a moot point. The issues we battle over regarding the economy, social issues, or whether or not the cockroaches in Washington are abiding by the Constitution no longer matter if we no longer have a nation as a result of our inability to repel invaders, or incoming destructive forces and weapons. The destruction of America is not only happening within through internal leftist anti-American policies, but now external threats are being invited to add to the devastation.
Last February, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel called for a reduction of American troop forces, calling for the numbers to be reduced to pre-911 numbers, and ultimately for our military personnel population to be dropped to a size smaller than when we entered World War II.
A week ago, President Obama called for the elimination of the valuable Tomahawk and Hellfire missile systems, without a developed missile system replacement at the ready.
Now, according to the United States Air Force, surely under the guidance of the White House, the United States will remove 50 Air Force nuclear missiles from their "ready to launch" status, held in launch silos on three Air Force bases in Montana, Wyoming and North Dakota, between now and 2018.
The nuclear missile cutback will reduce the Air Force nuclear arsenal to its lowest level since the early 1960s. The reduction is a part of Obama's 2011 START treaty between the United States and Russia, an agreement which allows each country no more than 700 strategic nuclear missiles to be at the ready at any time.
History shows that when we reduce our inventory, and the Russians promise to reduce theirs, in reality we reduce ours, Russia doesn't reduce their number of missiles because they are liars, and China laughs because it makes them even more powerful in the nuclear armament game where strength is the key to peace -- or in the eyes of the communist countries, the key to domination.
The Obama administration is not stopping at the slashing of our nuclear arsenal, however. In addition to cuts in Air Force nuclear missiles, the Air Force will mothball 33 nuclear-armed bomber jets, reducing its airborne fleet from 93 to 60, including 19 B2 Stealth bombers and 41 B-52s.
The Navy will scuttle 40 of its submarine-based nuclear missiles.
With Russia's reductions (they will refuse to reduce their count - just watch) of cutting back its nuclear arsenal, we are being told that the cutback in Air Force nuclear missiles will bring the land-based nuclear arsenal down to 400 from 450. But the United States will still be well ahead of Russia in its nuclear missile count when adding the sea-going missiles. The Russians are well under the 700 limit with just 473 nuclear weapons deployed as of last October, because everyone knows they are completely honest about their nuclear missile count (for those of you that are low-information voters, and are the type that would call 911 because your favorite fast food restaurant ran out of chicken nuggets, that was sarcasm). Before the reduction, the American missiles count is well above the treaty's 700 limit by more than a hundred.
As the military is being gutted, I am expecting the announcement of Obama's domestic civilian army of jack-booted thugs to enforce Obama's domestic mandates any day now.
