Looks like the Tea Party has some competition....
We've all heard about the Arab Spring, where protesters and demonstrators have been self-organizing and rising up against injustice in the Arab World. Some people have been wondering if Americans are ever going to wake up to the injustice going on in its own borders. And now a retired army colonel is trying to sound the alarm himself, with a planned march in Washington on May 16th called Operation American Spring. The Resident discusses.
....or maybe not.
Look, I don't begrudge Colonel Riley and his group their objective; it would be a Godsend if O and his entire criminal cadre would surrender, quit, and go away so that we could revive without any further ado the Constitutional federal republic America once was. But being "mad as hell" isn't enough. And the notion that setting up an Obamaville camp on the National Mall is going to change anything, much less goad the House to impeach the entire Regime and the Senate to remove them all is....well, silly. Delusional. Pure, undiluted fantasy. To the contrary, an American Tiananmen would be its more likely outcome.
I mean, we have - for now - a means of changing the federal government: they're called elections. Unless OAS would be content with a President Boehner, which strikes me as being rather....unlikely.
