Comedienne Joan Rivers sat down with Fredricka Whitfield to discuss her new book, but stormed out before it was over.
Evidently, part of that off-the-air-but-on-the-mic rant included this:
The comedian known for her lack of self-censoring recently officiated a same-sex wedding and was asked by a photographer if she believed the United States would ever see the first gay or female president. Her response was typical Rivers.I've never been entirely sure if political correctness would ever have a high-water mark, and if it did, just what exactly would mark it, but pissing Joan Rivers into walking out of a CNN interview in a huff would probably qualify.
"We already have it with Obama, so let's just calm down," she said. "You know Michelle (Obama) is a trans."
When asked to further explain Rivers said, "A transgender. We all know it."
