It would seem that ISIS is more aware that Barack Obama still doesn't have a real plan to deal with their threat to the United States than even the White House itself. Ditto the reason why: his strong disinclination to go back into Iraq to remedy the strategic disaster his own Middle East policy has created. They know that the core of his announced "strategy" - to arm "non-ISIS anti-Assad rebels" (you know, the ones with whom ISIS just inked a non-aggression agreement) - is a pathetic, risible joke. Basically, they know that, in reality, they have a free hand to do whatever they want, wherever they want, as much as they want, to whomever they want. And they're not being at all shy about the immense confidence Barack Obama is giving them.
Does that mean Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi will personally be raising the ISIS flag over the White House in the near future? No. Why would he have to, given who lives there? But it does mean that we are going to suffer a bigger attack on our soil than we did on 9/11, and probably - hell, almost certainly - more than one. After which this POTUS will have no more of a strategy for dealing with the jihadist onslaught than he has right now, and for the same accursed reasons.
Still think elections don't have consequences?
