U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry Wednesday denounced the beheading of journalist Steven Sotloff as an act of "medieval savagery" and said the jihadists who killed him were not the true face of Islam.
"The real face of Islam is not what we saw yesterday, when the world bore witness again to the unfathomable brutality of ISIL terrorist murders," Kerry said at a ceremony to honor the new special US envoy to Muslim communities.
That's not what the Koran says, John. So what you really mean is that you don't want what we saw on Monday to be the real face of Islam, because if it is - and it is - that would require you, and the Regime of which you are so misbegotten a part, to admit that you were all 100% wrong about Iraq, 100% wrong about Afghanistan, 100% wrong about the War on Terror, 100% wrong about Islam and the Middle East, that Iraq was "the RIGHT war in the RIGHT place at the RIGHT time," and restore to its rightful place the entire Bush Middle East foreign policy regime.
Well, other than Dubya's "religion of peace" drivel. In the regard, the idiocy of not being willing to name our enemy is bipartisan.
"Secretary of State Pamela Gellar." Sounds right, doesn't it? Assuming John Bolton isn't available, of course. The confirmation hearings would certainly be a hoot.
