George Soros' Mini-Me To Host Fundraiser For Kansas 'Independent' Greg Orman

by JASmius

[T]his week Kansas incumbent Republican Pat Roberts gets submarined by a classic Donk shell game.  The Democrat candidate, Chad Taylor, "implicitly" withdrew and in swooped "independent" Greg Orman like Robert Redford in "The Candidate," spouting all the usual, clichéd pap about "independence" and not being "beholden" to any party that so foolishly appeals to the LIVs and NIVs, of which even a "red" State like Kansas, it seems, has an overabundance.  Kansas's GOP Secretary of State, Kris Kobach, contested Taylor's withdrawal, but the Kansas Supreme Court overruled her, and the Dems have their stealth candidate and a sudden five point lead over Senator Roberts.

Me, three weeks ago

And now comes the smoking gun:

The son of billionaire and Democratic donor George Soros will host a fundraiser for independent Greg Orman, who is running against Republican incumbent Pat Roberts in Kansas' U.S. Senate election.

Last month, Democratic candidate Chad Taylor withdrew from the race, leaving one serious challenger — Orman — to face Roberts. If Orman wins, there is talk that he will align himself with Democrats to skew the balance of power in the Senate. Republicans need to gain six seats to take control of the chamber.

Orman has made it clear he is not tied to the Democratic Party. America Rising, however, uncovered the invitation to this week's fundraiser, which will be hosted by, among other people, Jonathan Soros.

aka George Soros's "Mini-Me"....

Not to say "I told you so!", but I do never get tired of saying it.  Thirty five years of closely observing American politics has more than earned me the privilege.

Have you noticed how much the "Independent" Mr. Orman resembles latest "Incredible Hulk" actor Mark Ruffalo?

Well, when Mr. Orman metamorphosizes, he doesn't become a gigantic green rage monster:

"I think what I've said and what I've been clear about since the beginning is if one party or the other is in the majority, I will seek to caucus with the party that is in the majority," Orman said, according to Roll Call

"But that if I get elected, and neither party is in the majority, then what I'm going to do is sit down with both sides, propose a pro-problem-solving agenda, and ask both sides whether or not they're willing to support that agenda. And we're going to be likely to support the agenda, and the party that's most likely to embrace a pro-problem-solving agenda." [emphasis added]

Question: Name the last national pol that held himself out as a "moderate pragmatist" only interested in "doing what works"....

Go to the head of the class.

For those of you in Kansas, that means, "Pull your head out of your ass and re-elect Pat Roberts, even if he is ninety years older than God."
