White House spokesman Josh Earnest says Republicans are blocking the president's "non-partisan" agenda to "help the middle class".
Stick a comma after "agenda" and that would actually be a semi-accurate statement.
He said Obama's agenda in the past six years has included issues like equal pay for women in the workplace [which they already receive, or better, a fact that would be more obvious if some women didn't keep leaving the workplace to get married and have children <hint, hint>], reducing the cost of higher education [which might be possible if government would stop exorbitantly subsidizing it], and investing in [spending on] infrastructure [i.e. all those "shovel-ready projects" that not only weren't shovel-ready but which O's greenstremist allies would never, EVER permit in the first place].
Remarkable, isn't it? Here I sit, my career in ruins through no fault of my own save the hustle, loyalty, respect, and hard work I apparently foolishly "invested" in it, and this smarmy yIntagh gets paid 2.52 times as much as I ever did for my abused, underappreciated efforts to be a soulless bearer of serial false witness for a worthless sack of tyrannical pus.
Robert Gibbs was a haggard buffoon, Jay Carney Doogie Howser's evil twin, but Josh Earnest looks like a character straight out of Mad Men, only with far less character and personal integrity. Which makes it odd that I feel the same urge to stand on each and every one of their freshly-scrubbed faces, if only to keep their mouths shut at the same time.
