Illegals Granted Amnesty To Receive Extra Tax Refunds From IRS

by JASmius

This is taunting.  It's running up the score.  In the National Football League, it would earn a fifteen-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

In Obamerikastan, it is, as the Jem Haddar used to say, "The way of things": illegal aliens in its top strata, the favored children of a foreign-minded ruling junta, and (non-Democrat) American citizens on society's lowest rung, yet expected to pay for it all:

IRS Commissioner John Koskinen [aka Obama's department store mannequin] confirmed Tuesday that illegal [alien]s granted amnesty from deportation under President Obama’s new policies would be able to get extra refunds from the IRS for money they earned while working illegally, as long as they filed returns during those years.

Illegal aliens, working illegally, filing tax returns that they can now amend to syphon even more money from the federal teat.  Welcome to the "New Normal".

Illegal [alien]s who are granted the amnesty [illegally] will be given official Social Security numbers, which means they can go back and amend up to three years of previous tax forms to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit, potentially claiming billions of dollars in additional payments they were ineligible for before the amnesty.

Illegal aliens with "official" Social Security numbers.  Does this mean employers no longer have to fill out I-9 forms when they hire illegals?  Somehow I doubt it.  O will figure a way to punish employers will still encouraging illegals to take American jobs.  Illegally, of course.

Mr. Koskinen said they will have to have already filed returns for those back-years, and there’s a statute of limitations that governs how far they can go back, but said the agency’s current interpretation of laws would allow them to claim the EITC credit retroactively.

The agency's illegal interpretation.

“This is the problem you get into,” said Senator Charles E. Grassley, an Iowa Republican who demanded a solution to the loophole. “The IRS’s interpretation of the EITC eligibility requirements undermines congressional policy for not rewarding those working illegally in the United States.”

Congress is an irrelevant ceremonial rump entity, Senator.  And probably now "officially" illegal.  Barack Obama's word is law now.  Didn't you get the memo?

The loophole stems from the way the IRS handles illegal immigrants. While the immigrants are not authorized to work in the U.S. legally, the IRS still wants to be paid taxes on the earnings of those who do work, and so it has issued millions of Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers, or ITINs, to illegal immigrants, enabling them to pay up.

Which makes those taxes illegal, and thus the IRS should not, by law, be able to accept them.  But then how is it that illegals aren't exempt from taxation altogether?  That must be The One's next Executive Order.

Illegal, of course.

The "law" sure ain't what it used to be, is it?
