To call politics anything other than a constantly raging war is to refuse to understand the truth about politics, and more specifically, the way progressives view political strategy. While Conservatives, Classical Liberals, and Constitutionalists realize the tyrannical desires of leftism, the groups that stand for the limiting principles of governance refuse to admit the reality of the progressive agenda. Like a rabid animal determined to murder its victim, leftism never stops, never rests, and shows no mercy. There are never victories against the progressive agenda, only instances where the statists must change their tactics and regroup because one pathway to implementing their agenda has been blocked, or closed, by their opposition.
War is deceit, and because those that support moral standards and the United States Constitution tend to hold to some kind of righteous ideal, deception is something they cannot bring themselves to commit, nor admit that the opposition is using such tactics to gain footing in the political war to control culture, and drive the narrative.
The opposition to liberty attacks the moral standard of culture, a standard that has proven to be successful throughout history in free societies, demanding that those who proclaim such standards of morality must one hundred percent abide by those standards. Any misstep by The Right is targeted, exposed, revealed for all of society to see, and then labeled with accusations of hypocrisy, radicalism, and failure. Then, the radicals of leftism turn back towards the standards of morality championed by their opposition, and they declare them to be "tyranny," and the chains of rightwing radicalism. Once the populace believes that freedom and moral standards are signs of tyranny, the progressives then insert their own moral standards, of which their opposition would call "immoral," and an agenda that wreaks of tyranny. However, the statists of progressivism call those abominations "liberty."
We have seen this tactic used time and time again, yet we fall victim to the ever-changing premise presented by leftism continuously. At first glance, for example, the very idea of killing one's child while the baby develops in the womb is obviously evil, yet by inserting a counterfeit morality, many Americans not only refuse to recognize the spilling of innocent blood before the person has the opportunity to draw his or her first breath as totally unacceptable, but many even champion the barbaric practice as being a "woman's reproductive right."
Homosexuality is another issue that falls into the leftist strategy of changing the moral narrative. In the natural scheme of things, sexual attraction between similar genders is a deviation from nature's norm. The coupling of the same sex does not benefit society, and does not produce progeny, the primary reason for the existence of sexual intercourse in the first place. The proponents of normalizing homosexual behavior contends that "being gay" is something a person is born with, though there has been no scientific proof to support such a claim. And even if one was to believe that the state of being homosexual is genetic, how would the gene be passed along if the possessors of that particular genetic trait do not produce offspring? What about former homosexuals, who claim they were "cured" from the affliction of the deviant sexual behavior? How can they change their sexual lifestyle if they were "born that way?"
Prior to the push for gay rights, who would have dreamed that homosexuality would emerge as, in the words of those proposing such changes in our social construct, the latest "civil rights issue." At what point did we decide that the choice of sexual behavior is on the same level as ethnicity or skin color?
As the envelope is pushed a little further, and the next logical step has been added with the inclusion of gender-identity (and those that have chosen to use surgical procedures to alter their genitalia), the true face of the "gay rights" agenda has emerged, showing us that, like all other leftist narratives, the crusade for the normalization of homosexuality is not about freedom or liberty, but about tyranny against those who dare to stand against the movement.
In American schools God has been removed because it has been explained that it is wrong for people to push their personal beliefs upon other people's children. However, a campaign to include homosexuality being taught as "normal behavior" in the schools is underway. California is currently forcing teachers, regardless of their personal beliefs, or the personal beliefs of the parents of the children in their classes, through the force of law, to teach "gay history," and to speak about homosexuality is a positive manner, or face repercussions. In a number of countries in Europe, it has become a crime to speak in a negative manner about homosexuality, and those laws are currently working their way into the churches as well, dictating to the pastors how they may legally preach on the subject.
A Christian owned bakery in the United States has gone bankrupt after being sued for refusing to bake a cake reflecting a positive message regarding homosexuality, yet gay bakeries see nothing wrong with refusing to bake a "Bible Cake" when asked to do so. Should gay bakeries be forced, by the force of law to bake cakes with anti-gay messages on them? Of course not. However, the double-standard that exists is that those same people see no harm in trying to force a Christian baker to bake a cake with pro-gay messages on them.
In Houston, last year, the gay mayor of the city demanded transcripts of pastor's sermons to check for any anti-gay language. San Antonio, Texas has on its books an ordinance that disqualifies anyone for employment by the city who as "ever" in their lifetime held, or verbalized, any negative view of homosexuality. We are being told by the proponents of the gay agenda that those who refuse to embrace the call for accepting the gay culture are "haters," "bigots," and "homophobes." Yet, those same people see no double-standard in their hatred of Christians, and the continuous attacks they launch against those people that believe differently than they do regarding the issue of homosexuality, and gay marriage.
As with abortion, the social narrative being taught is that supporting homosexual lifestyles is the moral high ground, and daring to stand against the agenda is the epitome of tyranny, hate, radicalism, and bigotry. The immoral agenda has been propped up as the height of morality, and the moral standards that have supported the norm of traditional marriage has been redefined as evil. And, those that support these leftist ideals of "right has become wrong and wrong has become right" see no harm in using government tyranny to force their agenda into place - whether you like it, or not.
