Doing what the Ferguson rioters couldn't quite do.
Or, "to the man with a hammer, every problem looks like a nail":
Attorney General Eric Holder said on Friday the Justice Department would use its full authority to reform the police department in Ferguson, Missouri, including potentially dismantling the department.
The Justice Department issued a report this week that found that police there overwhelmingly arrested and issued traffic citations to black residents, creating a culture of distrust that erupted in August when a white officer shot an unarmed black teenager.
Asked by reporters if the federal government would shut down the police department, Holder replied: "If that's what's necessary."
"If"? Does anybody believe that this is not, and was not from the very beginning seven months ago, Eric "The Red's" ultimate goal? Especially after letting Darren Wilson off the hook?
Put another way, why human-torch one "racist" cop when you can blow up all of them at once?
One might even call it "polarizing," as well as crippling to law enforcement in a "community" that desperately needs it.
Or what Holder defines as "polarizing":
Holder said Wednesday that the department "found a community that was deeply polarized; a community where deep distrust and hostility often characterized interactions between police and area residents."
And that is supposedly ALL the fault of "racist" cops, and black rage and hooliganism is supposedly ENTIRELY the product of it, and accordingly the latter is COMPLETELY excused. The logic of which being that the "polarization" in Ferguson will vanish if the cops are essentially bound, gagged, straitjacketed, handcuffed, and legironed, and the black hooligans are left free to run wild. Yeah, THAT will fix everything, won't it?
And, PURELY COINCIDENTALLY, the Obama Regime will be running Ferguson law enforcement. Not quite the pace at which they planned to raise their "civilian national security force," but they had to start somewhere, I guess, right?
Besides, it's not as though the condemned aren't frantically trying to capitulate to escape the noose:
Ferguson Mayor James Knowles III said steps are already being taken to correct problems. The city has fired three city employees and is pursuing a range of other reforms in an effort to negotiate a settlement with the Justice Department, the mayor said on Friday.
"We must do better not only as a city, but as a state and a country," Knowles said.
No mention throughout any of this of, you know, proof of this supposed "racism," something that is, after all, in the eye of the beholder, especially this day and age when there's so little of it - white-on-black, that is, there's plenty of it flowing like a mighty river in the other direction with Obama Regime blessing and participation - that Black Klanners have to "impute" it by expanding the definition to the thickness of the number of atoms per cubic mile of intergalactic space. But then, due process is so "white," and thus a tool of the "crackers'" to thwart "social justice," I guess.
Exit thought: Might it not be possible that the reason DOJ let Darren Wilson go was because (1) he had become a sympathetic figure in the public eye, and thus a high profile public lynching could have backfired on Holder and Obama?; and (2) could they not have decided that their raising of a "civilian national security force" needed to be more "under the radar," judging by the Ferguson insurrection's ultimate fizzling?
UPDATE: Ferguson, Wisconsin on the way?
